A weekend getaway in Ghent immediately feels like a vacation, especially when you’re staying in the heart of the city. During her stay at Hotel Harmony in Ghent, Jolien experienced how hospitality, comfort, and a prime location come together to create a carefree city trip.  

As soon as I walked into Hotel Harmony, I felt welcome. The welcome was warm and personal. The room was stylishly decorated, comfortably furnished, and immaculately maintained. The hotel also has a heated pool, which is perfect for a summer getaway.  

That evening, I enjoyed a drink at one of the many summer bars along the waterfront. What a wonderful summer!

Breakfast along the Leie: a delightful start to the day

The next morning, I started the day with a hearty breakfast at the hotel, which is located along the Leie River. From fresh rolls and yogurt with fruit to a delicious cup of coffee with a view of the water.

After breakfast, one of the highlights of the weekend was on the agenda: a boat tour on the Leie. From the water, you get a beautiful view of the historic facades and discover a few hidden gems as well.  

Graffiti Alley: Shop and Enjoy

After that, I headed toward the famous Graffiti Alley. The contrast between the historic buildings and the modern art makes Ghent unique and surprising. I also strolled through charming little streets and visited a few cute boutiques and shops. Ghent is the perfect destination for anyone who loves shopping, culture, and a lively atmosphere.  

What made this experience especially enjoyable was the smooth communication through TABANAA. Everything was clearly arranged, and I was able to leave with peace of mind. I’d definitely do it again!
